There's no doubt that America's Democrat Party has gone off the Marxist deep end. Not all of it, but enough Marxist extremists have attained prominence that the Democrat platform has been dragged almost as far to the left as possible and now only appeals to the radical progressives.
First I want to address the strange resurgence of the Norman Thomas quote that the media is apparently pressuring everyone into believing was never spoken. The quote is unfalsifiable, i.e. it cannot be proven either way because it occurred some unknown number of decades before the internet and so it was not recorded as a YouTube video. I find it very odd that suddenly there is a media frenzy to declare this quote as never having been spoken by Norman Thomas. It doesn't really matter, one way or the other, except to denote that what has become of the Democrat Party is no surprise whatsoever, that it was obviously foreseen and that there are many who want to bully us into believing otherwise. What was not mentioned in the quote, however, was any prediction of a split in the Democrat Party over this issue.
Note: Reagan used this as a lead-in to discuss socialized healthcare and to claim that "We've been warned." I recommend listening to the entire video.
So my question is, if the transformation of the Democrat Party into the Socialist Party is as inevitable as described, will the DNC allow it, or will the DNC force those who won't capitulate out of the party?
Will Bernie get fed up and Split the Democratic Party in 2020?
Will the threats from the Justice Democrats, whose support launched Alexandria Cortez into office, be the necessary catalyst to split the Democrat Party into two?

Bernie Sanders has tried to assure Democrats he does not intend to run a factional splinter campaign in 2020. To that end, he has promised to endorse the nominee, and pledged he will not run a negative campaign, and to date has followed through on the latter promise. But then yesterday, his campaign announced two high-profile hires: speechwriter David Sirota and press secretary Briahna Joy Gray. Sirota and Gray, both very smart left-wing journalists, share a commitment to exactly the sort of left-wing factionalism that frightens Democrats.

One group that is making such threats are known as the Justice Democrats, who are a liberal group that backed AOC primary campaign. They are attempting to dictate to the entire Democratic Party that it is their way or they will fund people to replace them. This is what Boehner was doing to Republicans who would back the Tea Party Conservatives. The power has gone to the head of AOC and she clearly thinks all the attention she is getting means she should be in charge. She was born October 13th, 1989 so she will be 35 just a few weeks from the Presidential election in 2024 for which they are preparing.
